A fine day in Gweedore saw Cappry Rovers win an evenly contested match with a scoreline of 2-0. A match with few chances for both teams was won in the first half with a Sean McBride brace. McBride showed both pace and power to get past the Gweedore Celtic defence on two occasions to net the all important goals. The second half produced no chances of note with both teams playing a passing game. Changes made by Gweedore Celtic offered the best chance of reducuing the deficit with fifteen minutes to go however a tame shot was easily collected by the Cappry goalkeeper. The match was played in good spirits by both teams with referee Martin Coll needing little intervention. Both teams and their management were a credit to both clubs before during and after the match.
