A spirited performance from Gweedore wasn't enough to overcome a home side that had all three points in their sight from the first whistle. Peadar Mogan got all Eany goals. He opened the scoring early in the first half when he latched on to a corner kick. They held Gweedore scoreless for the first half to hit the break 1-0. A different Gweedore emerged for the second half and they push forward and had a few chances until a long free kick was floated into the Eany box which was deflected to the net for the equaliser. Eany reacted to the goal and upped their performance and got their just reward from Mogan again and went ahead 2-1. Peadar Mogan completed his hat trick with ten minutes to go when he shot from outside the box on a corner. Both teams had further chances in the last few minutes but the home side held on for a deserved win.
