Donegal Schoolboys 1999 League Centre made it two wins out of two with this 4-2 victory over Inishowen in the Connaght/Ulster Inter League group at Port Road on Saturday. The visitors were first off the mark early in the game when the impressive Denver Kelly scored a close range volley following a free kick by James Adair which the home side failed to clear. Donegal then had numerous chances to equalise through Jeaic McKelvey, Sean McBride and a Conor Gormley header which called Inishowen netminder Jason McCallion into action. Their persistance paid off on 32 minutes when a Jeaic McKelvey effort was blocked by an Inishowen defender only for the well placed Jordan Ryan to tap home from close range to tie up the game. Donegal then took the lead just before half-time when Adam Byrne sent in a well delivered cross and Sean McBride scored from a diving header. The second half continued with Donegal dominating but were unable to add to their tally despite a number of chances. It took until the 70th minute to get on the scoresheet again when Sean McBride got his second of the game with a fine left foot drive which gave McCallion no chance. Inishowen then pulled a goal back following a rare attack when Dayton Cooke scored a volley from a Bert Weseloski cross. Any hopes of a comeback were dashed with two minutes to go when Sean McBride scored his third and Donegal's fourth of the match to secure the win.
