Gweedore Celtic 6 Donegal/Killymard 0 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Gweedore Celtic began their U-12 Champions League campaign with a comfortable win over Donegal/Killymard. After the rain settled the match kicked off with both sides going on the attack and could have been 2-2 in five minutes but it stayed 0-0. Na Ceiltigh took the lead with good play from Eoin deBurca and played the ball back to Jamie Doherty to make it 1-0. Then the visitors had two great efforts that were saved brilliantly by Daniel Roarty especially the second save. Just before half time Gweedore got their second goal from a corner with Ryan Doherty scoring at the back post to leave the score 2-0 at half time. Celtic then took the second half by storm scoring the third within a minute from Eoin deBurca who worked his socks off on the night. Ryan Doherty got his second five minutes later with the goal of the game following some brilliant team play. The fifth goal came from a one-two touch from Jamie Doherty and Donal McBride with Donal finishing into the bottom corner. The sixth came from the boot of Kian McBride from 30 yards out with a thundering shot. A good team effort from the visitors and it was a complete team effort from na Ceiltigh óga.
