Glenea United were the visitors to Eany Park for this opening U-12 Champions League group match and they came away with with all three points in an even encounter. Eany had some early chances but Glenea took the lead after 12 minutes when Eany failed to clear and resulted in Cianan Gallagher scoring from a looping header from close range. Eany tried hard to get back into the game but were unable to get on level terms before the break. The second half was more of the same which Eany pushing forward looking for an equaliser and Glenea hitting them on the break whenever possible. This eventually paid dividends with 10 minutes to go when Glenea broke away and after some good passing movement the ball found it's way to little Nathan O'Brian who placed a lovely shot into the corner of the net past the advancing Oisin McGarrigle.
