With both teams having already qualified to the semi-final stages of the Champions League it was the honour of topping the group that was at stake in this match. Kilmacrennan opened the scoring in the 5th minute with Conor Black chipping Glenea keeper Ciaran Coll. He earned a second shortly after, this time slipping the ball under the keeper. Glenea's first chance of the game came with a free 25 yards out which was well taken by Conor Coyle only for it to be headed off the line by Kilmac's Aaron Reid. Conor Black earned his hat-trick after he ran onto a through ball from Bobby McGettigan beating several defenders before cooly slotting the ball in the net. Kilmac were now proving difficult for Glenea to handle and they made it 4-0 at half-time when Jamie Grant shot low into the bottom left corner. Glenea battled hard and were unlucky not to score on two occasions early in the second half, the first when a corner ball skidded along the cross bar only to drop onto the head of Conor Black who cleared the danger, the second came after a series of throws moving up the field giving Glenea's Nathan O'Brian the opportunity to hit the target but his shot just went narrowly wide of the right post. At the other end Kilmacrennan's Conor Black was having a fantastic day scoring his fourth after he used his speed to snatch the ball out of the keeper's path squeezing the ball inside the right post. Kilmac closed out the game after yet another great team build up out from the back resulted in a great cross in from the right wing by Conor Cassidy into the danger area where a waiting Conor Black jumped highest to head the ball into the net to leave the score 6-0 at the final whistle. Kilmacrennan now go on to meet Gweedore Celtic and Glenea go on to meet Swilly Rovers.
