In windy conditions Na Ceiltigh Oga decided to go with the wind in the first half against a well organised Drumkeen side and started putting pressure on them straight away and could have been two up only for great goalkeeping. The lads got what they deserved with the first goal coming from Eoin deBurca racing on to a through ball to finish into the bottom corner. The second came from the boot of Domhnaill McBride from outside the box and just before half time Jamie Doherty got the third to leave the score 3-0 at the break. The home side wanted to get off to a good start in the second half and knew Drumkeen would have a good go at things and got a goal back after ten minutes with a great effortl from Aidan Quinn. Five minutes later they got their second from Shaun Doherty to make the final 15 minutes very nervy for the Ceiltigh but for the performance of Domhnaill McBride and Ciaran Roarty marshalling the defence. The midfield stood firm and never allowed Drumkeen score a third goal. Great effort from Drumkeen in the second half and a lot of great performances from Na Ceiltigh Uillig. Man of the match was Domhnaill mcBride. Maith Sibh Uillig Ceiltigh Oga. We can do this lads.
