Signed for his local club St. Catherine's aged 8 and was a star performer with team-mates Seamus Coleman and Jason Noctor at underage level in the South Division. Made his senior debut at just aged 15 and was made captain of the team that won the Ulster Junior Cup in 2005. Joined Scottish Premier Division club Hearts later that year but after failing to make the first team returned to Ireland and signed for Dundalk in the Airtricity League in 2009 who were managed by Sean Connors. Followed Connors to Galway United in 2011 and following the demise of the Westerners moved further south to join Limerick FC in 2012. Had a brief spell at Derry City for the second half of the 2014 season before rejoining Limerick in July 2015 where he scored a spectacular goal against Finn Harps in the Premier Division Play Off 1st Leg match.
