The game between Bonagee Athletic and Bonagee Arcade U14 1st Division was played on Friday 11th at Dry Arch Park. With this being our first League game of the season the boys were all bursting to get started. It took a while for both teams to get going but Bonagee Arcade eventually got the opener with a fine cross in by Kaymin Shortt to Jamie Cunningham were he layed the ball back to Jay McGuire to send the ball into back of the net. From this their confidence grew and it wasn't long until Jay got his second, then Kaymin with some great footwork made his way up the park to score his first before half time.
The second half started much the same and with Kaymin playing out of his skin it wasn't long until he scored 2 more goals for his hat-trick. Bonagee Athletic fought back hard and were able to score their opener with Daniel Podmore breaking through to place the ball past Arcades keeper, but Jamie Cunningham got a sixth for Arcade to finish the game off 1-6 to Bonagee Arcade.
Its hard to choose Man off the Match but it has to go to Jamie Cunningham for the way he changed his game, playing as a team player and working tirelessly up and down the pitch.
