Bonagee Arcade 0; Swilly Ramblers 2 2015-10-25 00:00:00

Bonagee Arcade were at home this weekend against Swilly Ramblers. As soon as they took to the pitch we could see it was going to be tough, With Swilly towering over our lads in nearly every part of the field, but fair play they got stuck inn and gave as good as they got. We lost young Luke Doherty early in the 1st half after he collided with Swilly's keeper on a 50/50 ball leaving him unable to continue. Both teams had very few chances in the 1st half and it ended 0-0 at half time.

The second half Swilly started the stronger team and with some persistence they managed to open the score with a floated inn high ball which our Keeper Josh Mullan was unable to get too. They got their 2nd shortly after with a great shot from outside the 18 yard box, now with the wind in their sails they pushed hard but fair play to Bonagee they never lay down and managed to keep Swilly from adding to their lead. With Swilly being the bigger and stronger side we never got much chances to get a goal of our own but we never gave up. Hard to choose our man of the match this week, with Conor Hughs, Scott Thompson, Jake Patton, Jay Mc Guire, Josh Mullan and Charlie Kelly putting in an almighty shift against strong opposition. Well done Swilly and good luck for the season.
